The NGA Aeronautical Application (Aero App) is an Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) mobile application developed for use by DOD and FAA flight crews. The application equips flight crews with essential flight publications and data necessary for executing the unique missions of the U.S. War Fighter. By providing seamless access to critical aeronautical information such as Digital Aeronautical Flight Information File (DAFIF), Digital Flight Information Publications (D-FLIP) products, Georeferenced Airport Diagrams, Instrument Approach Procedures (IAPs), Arrival Procedures, Departure Procedures, Takeoff and Landing Minimums, Supplements, Airfield Qualification Program (AQP), Giant Reports, Electronic-Instrument Procedure Library, and Host Nation Charts, Aero App significantly enhances situational awareness and promotes navigational safety.

As a globally recognized authority in aeronautical data, NGA offers flight crews access to detailed information on over 47,000 airfields worldwide through the application. Furthermore, Aero App features an integrated E6B flight computer for comprehensive flight planning capabilities both on the ground and during flight, a versatile notepad functionality, access to user documents, and the ability to upload custom user maps. Users can leverage the application's connectivity to the internet, GPS, or an ADS-B device to access real-time traffic and weather data including NOTAMs, METARs, TAFs, and Air Force weather updates. The Moving Map feature allows for overlaying of navigational data such as Military Training Routes, Air Refueling Routes, Contract Fuel Locations, Terrain maps, Special-Use Airspaces information, and more.

Aero App is provided at no cost and is authorized for use by various entities including the US military, government agencies, Civil Air Patrol, foreign military partners, and contractors engaged in missions supporting the DOD.
